My name is Yolanda Morales. I studied in Mexiko and Germany dance and performance studies. I moved to Germany as I was twenty year old with the aim to find a better conditions to work on the dance field. I wanted to collect experience and work with people from diferent countries and backgrounds. I´m working as choreographer in Hamburg since 2019. My first piece 2666 (produced together with k3 in Hamburg)was already an statement to speak about the violence against women and transwomen. I had the opportunity to show the piece in Mexico as well in the IAPAR Festival in India. My creative journey continues with the creation of ficitonal bodies and speculative fictional writing. So came my second Production NERVEN. From that point on in my work, I continue dealing with imaginary bodies in utopian and dystopian spaces that are interwoven with current political and social realities.
