The disturbing slow dancing

Inspired by the Colombian cumbia that is born and grows in the border region between Mexico and the United States, as a form of subculture that confronts the growing neo extractivism in Monterrey, I did a two month residency at the Schwankhalle in Bremen. Interviewing Colombian cumbia singers and dancers, learning the steps and getting into the codes and gestures of this dance, I presented together with my colleague Magali Sander Fett the performance "Speed Dating #3". From tutorials, live music, imagination exercises, video presentation of our guests to a feed back with the audience was the presentation of our dance research.
